AM - Leave for Kandy, en route visiting the Elephant orphanage at Pinnawala. Arrive at your hotel and relax.
PM –Do a city tour of Kandy, the hill capital of Sri Lanka and the last stronghold of the Sinhalese Kings. Visit all the interesting places such as the Temple of the Tooth Relic, where the sacred tooth of the Lord Buddha is enshrined EVENING – Visit Kandy Lake Club or to the Avanhala to view a memorable
Cultural Pageant and a Fire Walking Show.

PM- Visit Dambulla, a world Heritage site. A vast isolated rock mass 500 ft. high, here is found the famous rock temple, which dates back to the 1st. century B.C. It is here where King Valagambahu took refuge and turned the caves in to this magnificent rock cave temple. Some of the frescoes are over 2000 years old.

PM – Visit Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital of Sri Lanka (11-13 century AD) Commence a city tour covering all places of archeological and historical value
such as Parakrama Samudra , the largest man made reservoir, Gal Viharaya – impressive colossal Buddha statues carved out of the face of a granite boulder. Afterwards return to your hotel and relax.

PM – Do a city tour of Anuradhapura the first capital of Sri Lanka and undoubtedly the grandest City of ancient Ceylon and now a world Heritage site .Commence a city tour covering all places of archaeological and historical interest, such as the The Brazen Palace, Ruwanweliseya, Samadhi Buddha Statue and the Sri Maha Bodhi, the oldest historically documented tree in the world.
OVERNIGHT – PALM GARDEN VILLAGE HOTEL – ANURADHAPURA

PM –Visit Wilpattu National Park which is among the oldest and most important of protected areas in Sri Lanka. The park was closed for many years due to terrorist activities, until It permanently reopened on 27th February 2010 after complete eradication of terrorism in the Island. Over 31species of mammels have been recorded over the years which include the Elephant, Leopard, Sloath Bear, Water buffalo and spotted Deer to name a few. Bird life is also at plenty including raptors. Return to your hotel in Anuradhapura after the safari.
